A2SO4 Celebrating 10 Years

07-03-2011

Ten years ago, I took a leap of faith, and with Vop Osili, we founded A2SO4 with the goal of doing more than just designing structures. Our vision for A2SO4 was to enrich lives all around us using architecture as the medium.

I’m privileged to announce that as we celebrate our firm’s 10th anniversary, I have become sole Owner and President.

The change in ownership has given us an opportunity to re-examine our company’s goals.  We have re-affirmed our passion and commitment to enriching lives through architecture, interior design, urban planning and the sustainable consulting that we do, right here in Indianapolis, across the Midwest, and in some cases, around the globe.

At a time when the economy has dealt our industry many blows, I’m honored to be surrounded by a team of more than 20 talented professionals who share similar passions about how architecture can and will impact lives. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to work on many meaningful projects that improve the quality of life in our community.  The  renovation to Citizens Health Center, provides those in need with quality healthcare in a respectful, professional center, or the new parking garage at IUPUI, which  rethinks how parking garages can be attractive additions to the urban core, and not merely slabs of concrete.

We like to think of all of our projects – large and small – as life enriching designs. From the new residence halls at Purdue University in West Lafayette to classrooms at Indianapolis Public Schools to Indianapolis’ Cultural Trail that’s helping mobilize our city, design has a way of enriching the environment.

In the coming months, I look forward to sharing with you more news about how design is making a difference, how these new economic times are requiring us to think differently about business (in all sectors), and how collaboration and cooperation will make each of us better than we thought we could be.

That’s a lesson I learned at least 10 years ago, when I took that big leap of faith to start a new endeavor. Thanks to your support, encouragement and your business, I’m proud to say A2SO4 is working every day to create design that matters for people and for our communities.

As always, I look forward to talking more about how we’re moving forward, if you’d like to chat, call me any time at (317) 388-8850, e-mail me at sanford@a2so4.com or check out our new website at www.a2so4.com.

Sincerely yours,
