PROJECT PROFILE
The Saint Clair Place neighborhood is a historic neighborhood located immediately east of downtown Indianapolis. The neighborhood includes 900 parcels and is approximately 150 acres in size. Based on recent inventories, Saint Clair Place includes over 150 vacant, abandoned homes and over 110 vacant lots. In early 2009, a team of planning and development professionals were selected to develop a comprehensive Revitalization Plan for the neighborhood. After a four-month public planning process, an overall “game plan” was established that helped better define the neighborhood’s long-term vision and priority areas of focus. A second document titled Project Recommendations, showcases both long and short-term recommended projects for the Saint Clair Place neighborhood. Final documents, The Implementation Strategy and Housing Pattern Book, were produced as companion pieces which help to better identify the tools and resources required to execute the overall vision.
